Mindfulness
Mindfulness helps us to live more in the here and now. Great for our mental health and emotional wellbeing, it can help us to reduce stress, decrease depressive symptoms and anxiety, regulate our emotions and increase self compassion.
Fully present and aware
I am able to teach mindfulness to adults, children and groups. I often incorporate Mindfulness within therapy sessions if the client feels it will be helpful. I also offer private sessions solely focused on learning and practicing mindfulness techniques to help improve emotional wellbeing.
Practicing Mindfulness helps us to live more in the here and now. All too often our thoughts get carried away with what is happening next or stuck in what happened yesterday that we forget to just experience the present moment. Mindfulness is about paying attention to these little moments and really enjoying them.
The evidence tells us that mindfulness is great for our mental health and emotional wellbeing. It can help us to reduce stress, and decrease depressive symptoms and anxiety, it helps us to regulate our emotions and increase self-compassion. Mindfulness can also help to lower blood pressure, manage chronic pain, improve sleep and alleviate gastrointestinal difficulties. Whilst Mindfulness can have incredibly positive results for our physical and mental health, these classes are an introduction to mindfulness, they are not therapy and should not be seen as a replacement for any type of treatment you may be having, including medication. Advice should always be obtained from your medical practitioner or consultant before making any changes to your treatment plan.
Mindfulness classes
From time to time, I will also run small Mindfulness Meditation classes, these will be announced through my social media links, and updates will be added to this website.
